Edward Karpman, MD, FACS
Men's Health Specialist
Dr Edward Karpman is a board certified urologist and
the medical director of the Men's Health Center at El
Camino Hospital Los Gatos. The Men's Health Center
is a unique hospital based clinic specializing only in
men's health needs such as erectile dysfunction,
prostate enlargement, testosterone deficiency and
sexual dysfunction. He is also one of the few urologists
who is fellowship trained in Male Reproductive
Medicine and Surgery, Microsurgery and Male
Sexual Dysfunction.
He grew up in Southern California. He attended college
at the University of California, Davis where he
graduated with Honors in Biological Sciences. He went
on to medical school at the University of Vermont where
he was awarded the James Demeules surgical
research award and scored in the top 5% of all medical
school graduates in the nation on his medical board
exams. He completed his urologic surgery training at
the University of California, Davis Medical Center where
he received several awards for his research and
publication. Dr Karpman was then awarded a
prestigious fellowship in Male Reproductive and Sexual
Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of
Medicine/Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
There he specialized in Male Infertility, Microsurgery and
Male Sexual Dysfunction.
Dr Karpman has established one of the most
comprehensive men's health clinics in Northern
California. He has been interviewed on television and
radio on the subjects of erectile dysfunction and fertility.
He is an invited lecturer on a recurring basis on the
subject of Male Sexual Dysfunction for the graduate
class of Human Sexuality at Santa Clara University. He
is a speaker for the FDA approved testosterone gel
products and has lectured extensively on the subjects
of testosterone deficiency, testosterone replacement
therapy, penile implant surgery and minimally invasive
treatments for prostate enlargement. He also serves
as a proctor for penile implant surgery and laser
therapy for prostate disease, teaching other physicians
his techniques on performing penile prosthetic surgery
and laser therapies for prostate disease.
